2. Accessibility
2.1. Decimal Point promotes, builds and recognises the need for websites that are accessible to all user groups, including the disabled. We have implemented a number of accessibility features on this website to make it easier for people with disabilities to use.
2.2 The following features improve navigation for text only browsers, screen reader users, and users of keyboard navigation.
2.2.1. Style sheets - This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout. However if your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, or if you prefer to view just text, the use of structured semantic markup ensures that the content of each page is still readable and clearly structured.
2.2.2. Structured markup: headings and menus - Menus used for navigation are marked up as HTML lists. This ensures that the number of links in the list is read out at the start and it can be skipped easily.
2.2.3. Font sizes - Users may change the font size of each web page to their preference through their browser. In Internet Explorer, select View, then Text Size, and then your preferred size.* In Firefox press CTRL + to increase font size and CTRL – to decrease. CTRL 0 will reset sizes to default.
2.2.4. Forms - Labels are used to access form fields, making forms generally easier to use. All forms follow a logical tab sequence.
2.2.5. Tables - Tables are used from time to time to display tabular data, and are correctly structured to allow screen readers to render them properly. Tables are not used for layout on this site.
2.2.6. Colours - We have been mindful of the site's font and background colour combinations and checked these colours against different colour blindness conditions to ensure that all information is still clear.
2.2.7. Links - Linking text has been written to make sense out of context.
2.2.8. Search - A search facility is not available on the site.
2.2.9. Scripting - If JavaScript is disabled in a browser, content is still available but the page or site navigation may have limited functionality.
2.2.10. Browsers - This website is built to HTML5 and CSS 3.0 standards, as governed by the W3 Organisation – www.w3.org.
